Award winning MAN Marcus Brigstocke thinks we might still serve some useful function. But what is it? This new tour show will resolve the entire issue once and for all (in a non-patriarchal, open minded, progressive sort of way). DaVinci's Vitruvian Man is the image of the ideal male form. Marcus' Vitruvian Mango is the same, but sweeter, softer, seasonally available and, when ripe, delicately perfumed.

Telephone:  Box office: 01962 840440
Event:  Josh Berry: Best Man - 8pm - It's clear what toxic masculinity is, but what does positive masculinity look like in a modern context? Josh Berry intends to provide some sort of answer to this question, through his many impressions and characters, as he tells the tale of being his best friend's best man earlier this year. From routines on how to organise a 'progressive stag do', to the amusing difficulties men seem to face around positive emotional expression, the show is an opportunity for us to have a ruddy good laugh at a concept that could do with being taken a bit less seriously. There's also a routine about how much Josh hates runners and refuses to become one. N.B. Josh has since entered a half marathon.

With no major trauma of his own to draw on for material, apart from the drag of getting older, he also turns his gaze outwards at the joys and follies of contemporary life. Towel Animals? A.I.? Chair Yoga? Cauliflower as a main course? Yes. Yes. Yes. And Yes. No current idiocy is left un-examined. With a highly developed sense of the ridiculous, and proper comedy bones, Not Himself, is a testament to the healing power of humour. And the joy of jokes.

Venue: The Arc
7.30pm
Connor Selby is a rising British star in the traditions of Eric Clapton and Peter Green, who has already performed with his band at Wembley Stadium, at the age of 22, at the behest of The Who. The young bandleader-guitarist-vocalist draws on influences as diverse as Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Ray Charles, Free and Nick Drake, creating a soulful blend of hard-hitting blues and emotional, introspective song writing, which, at times, evokes a modern take on the best of the British blues boom of the 1960’s.
