Thought-provoking and poignant, Hidden explores how, in an increasingly divided world, light can come out of darkness in times of crisis. At the cutting edge of live performance and digital integration, Hidden is a powerful blend of artforms. Gravity-defying choreography, an emotive soundscape and a shape-shifting set combine with ground-breaking projections to create an immersive world on stage. The fearless performers throw, catch and lift each other with immense precision, thrilling audiences with heart-in-the-mouth moments in this action-packed new production. Building on the successes of previous shows, including 2021’ s major hit, Nobody, the production further develops Motionhouse’s distinctive and visceral dance-circus language, where breath taking dance melts effortlessly into thrilling circus feats. For one night only, Swinging at the Cotton Club celebrates the breathtaking dance and music of the legendary nightclub. Where dancers such as Bojangles Robinson and the Nicholas Brothers lit-up the stage with their breathtaking routines, whilst the music greats of the era, such as Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, and Ella Fitzgerald, would have had the club swinging. In this show, the exhilarating dance and music of the Cotton Club is recreated by the fabulous Lindy Hop Dance Company, alongside The Harry Strutters Hot Rhythm Orchestra featuring American vocalist Marlene Hill and compere/vocalist Megs Etherington. So brush off your dancing shoes, and get ready to be transported back to a glamorous era of Speakeasies, Flappers, and Lindy Hop, with Swinging at the Cotton Club!

Mike Dawes is an English guitarist known for composing, arranging, and performing multiple parts simultaneously on one instrument. He is hailed as one of the world’s most creative modern fingerstyle guitarist with a repertoire spanning solo viral video hits alongside mainstream chart success performing with Justin Hayward from The Moody Blues. Dawes was named “Best Acoustic Guitarist in the World” by Total Guitar Magazine / MusicRadar in both December 2017 and 2018 readers polls.
