Berkshire Printmakers own Venezuelan artist will give attendees the background into the art movement and the international influence of the famous Venezuelan Op artists. During the workshop combining both paper stencils and the printmakers library of 30 plus number of plain and patterned screens you will create to make your own Op art influenced prints . Johannes Vermeer (1632–1675) was a Dutch Baroque painter celebrated for his masterful use of light, colour, and perspective. Though relatively obscure during his lifetime, Vermeer is now considered one of the greatest painters of the Dutch Golden Age. He is best known for intimate, meticulously composed interior scenes, such as Girl with a Pearl Earring and The Milkmaid. Artist Alan Beckett will lead you step-by-step through the process of recreating the artwork.
