Southern Voices Gala Concert & Reception

Start time: 6pm

A treat for singers and audience alike, the Gala evening will feature Vivaldi’s Gloria and JS Bach’s Magnificat, perhaps two of the greatest, sacred, choral works ever written. The Vivaldi will be performed together with past conductors and members. Also welcome Endelienta Baroque, an outstandingly talented group of young artists who recreate the orchestral soundscape, for which Bach and Vivaldi composed, performing on historical instruments. The concert opens with two relatively new works by composer Matthew Martin, beginning festivities with settings of Laudate Dominum and Jubilate Deo, celebratory music for the most celebratory of occasions. Soloists will be: Lucy Cronin & Lucy Mellors soprano, Claire Sutton-Williams mezzo-soprano, Gwilym Bowen tenor, Jamie W Hall baritone. Conductor: Jamal Sutton. Tickets are £35 for the concert and Gala Reception afterwards, where the fun continues with drinks, canapés, speeches, surprises and more singing!
Or if you cannot make the Reception, the concert only ticket is £25. www.southernvoices.co.uk/gala or from 0333 666 3366 (booking fees apply). Event sponsored by Winchester Round Table
