VERMEER’S ‘THE MUSIC LESSON’ PAINT AND SIP WITH ALAN BECKETT

Grab a glass of wine in one hand, a paintbrush in the other, and get ready to create your own version of Vermeer’s iconic piece ‘The Music Lesson’ from c. 1662–1665! Johannes Vermeer (1632–1675) was a Dutch Baroque painter celebrated for his masterful use of light, colour, and perspective. Though relatively obscure during his lifetime, Vermeer is now considered one of the greatest painters of the Dutch Golden Age. He is best known for intimate, meticulously composed interior scenes, such as Girl with a Pearl Earring and The Milkmaid. Artist Alan Beckett will lead you step-by-step through the process of recreating the artwork.
